An exciting opportunity has come up for a talented Senior Project Manager to join an internal Digital Transformation team
Working directly for the Head of Programmes and alongside a Community of Practice, the successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to lead and support a diverse range of Digital Transformation Programmes or Projects, contributing to the success of the CTO Division and wider business.
AIM OF THE ROLE:
- Bring calm to chaos and support the business in translating their needs into a Project (or Programme) roadmap that delivers value at the right time.
- Pro-actively manage and support Projects or Programmes across a diverse Digital Transformation portfolio.
- Directly contributing to strategic growth and success through best-in-class planning, stewardship and governance.
- Confident in their abilities, contribute to & tailor Project (or Programme) governance and strategies to meet the needs of deliverables, to consistently ensure successful outcomes.
- Communicate with clarity & purpose, effectively influencing C-Suite, Senior or key business stakeholders to ensure alignment, support and the action required to secure success.
- Adaptable by nature, to manage change though an agreed governance model, and employ robust risk management throughout a Project’s lifecycle to enable successful transition into use.
- Support the Head of Programmes and an emerging Community of Practice to determine and showcase what excellence looks like, inspiring others to engage & reap the benefits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include, but are not restricted to the following:
Initiate & Plan:
- You are responsible for agreeing desired business outcomes with Project Sponsors and Stakeholders, translating requirements into an appropriate Project (or Programme) roadmap that delivers intrinsic business and customer value.
Governance & Quality:
- You are accountable for quality and governance across the Digital Transformation Projects (or Programmes) assigned, tailoring your approach from a governance framework you will contribute to and help evolve.
- You will ensure identified Project Stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities, robustly stewarding & governing in-accordance with these to ensure success.
- You will ensure scope is managed in-accordance with agreed requirements, with deviations appropriately managed under change control where impact is understood and supported.
Communication & Reporting:
- You will communicate with clarity & purpose in-line with your agreed communication strategies, employing tailoring to meet the needs of the audience.
- You will set clearly defined meeting agendas to ensure meetings are of value, relevance and achieve their objectives.
- You will ensure Project Milestones, tasks and timelines are clearly understood by all involved and reflect appropriate timeframes pre-agreed with the delivering teams.
- You are responsible for Risk management reviewing, monitoring and mitigating impact in collaboration with your teams to support successful outcomes.
- You will escalate items of significant risk to the Head of Programmes or Project Sponsor where in need of further support or have considerable commercial/compliance implications.
Leadership:
- You will lead by example, consistently showcasing what good looks like and tackle constructive feedback with positive & timely action.
- You will motivate, mentor and coach colleagues with areas such as Project Methodologies (e.g., Agile or Waterfall) and the governance being employed.
- You will support colleagues in setting priorities and assist with conflict resolution to facilitate successful outcomes.
