Product Manager
Product Manager / Product Owner (eCommerce)
Location: (Hybrid 3 days per week in office)
At Citation Group, our product vision is simple but ambitious: Build better businesses by helping SMEs grow, by enabling their people and protecting their assets. Our goal is not just to support them, but to become a core part of how they run by embedding our tools and services into their day-to-day. Our product portfolio spans HR, Health & Safety, Certification, and beyond, supporting day-to-day tasks and long-term business goals alike.
As a member of the Product team, you will take full ownership of the Atlas eCommerce capability, to help improve customer awareness of our full product and service offering so they can self-serve additional products.
The role & responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead the "Atlas Storefront" and eCommerce initiative to build our online cross-sell capability and start the transition from fully salesperson-led interactions to including some customer self-service. Initially responsible for the strategic roadmap and tactical delivery of a centralised product catalogue and automated journeys, the role evolves post-delivery into a data-backed commercial lead supporting revenue growth of the Group’s digital sales channels.
- Product Discovery & Strategy: Lead discovery into third-party eCommerce solutions versus internal builds, including DPO evaluations and ROI analysis for each phase.
- Roadmap Management: Define and execute the roadmap for the Atlas Storefront, focusing on product-specific experiences, customer ecommerce journey mapping, and lead-form integration.
- Backlog & Execution: Act as the Product interface for an engineering team to deliver high-quality eCommerce functionality.
- Subscription & Growth: Develop digital journeys for other Citation brands, such as iHasco, Careskills and Be Certified, specifically focusing on user-based subscriptions, automated renewals, and upsell capabilities.
- Optimisation: Implement data-informed features including a recommendation engine, ad-placement capability, A/B testing, and data tracking to monitor and influence conversion rates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Service, Marketing and Data teams to ensure joined-up planning and delivery.
- Ensure clarity of direction through high-quality briefs, user stories, documentation, and communication - guiding development with purpose.
Success Metrics
- Target ACV: Achieve incremental ACV of >£1m in FY27, and >£3m in FY28.
- Conversion: Increase the percentage of group sales via eCommerce from the 3% baseline.
- Profitability: Improve ACV:CAC ratios by automating high-volume, low-complexity transactions.
- Customer Loyalty: Track and improve repeat purchase rates and digital renewal volume
