Application Support Manager
A leading financial services organisation is on a mission to modernise its technology stack - and we're looking for an experienced Application Support Manager to lead this critical function.
Based in London, this is a key leadership role within the Engineering and Technology team. You'll take ownership of core business applications - from SaaS to in-house systems - and ensure their performance, stability, and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and develop a growing Application Support team
- Own the support lifecycle of critical business applications
- Manage major incidents (P1/P2) and drive root cause analysis
- Improve monitoring, observability, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with Dev, Infra, and IT Ops teams for seamless service
- Oversee vendor relationships and third-party support
- Contribute to the transition to modern technologies (Azure, Docker, AKS)
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in Application Support leadership (preferably in regulated environments)
- Strong technical background with Microsoft stack (.NET Core, C#, SQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with modern cloud platforms and observability tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Azure App Insights)
- Confident in incident management, stakeholder engagement, and service governance
- Knowledge of ITIL and a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication and team management skills
