Senior Business Analyst – Investment & Finance Transformation (Front-to-GL)

6 month contract - Outside IR35

Hybrid - 2/3 days in the office a week

We’re hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join a major transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation.

This is a high-impact role sitting at the centre of a complex investment-to-finance systems and operating model transformation, connecting front office investment activity through to General Ledger and financial reporting.

The role

You’ll work across investment, finance, and technology teams to design and deliver end-to-end change across systems, processes, and data flows.

This includes understanding how trades, derivatives, and investment assets move through front-to-back systems and ultimately flow into the General Ledger, reporting, and regulatory outputs.

You’ll play a key role in:

• Leading business analysis across a large-scale transformation programme
• Mapping and redesigning end-to-end operating models (as-is / to-be)
• Working with investment, finance, actuarial, and technology stakeholders
• Defining requirements for system and data changes across multiple platforms
• Supporting integration between investment systems, sub-ledgers, and the General Ledger
• Identifying and resolving data, valuation, and reconciliation challenges
• Supporting system migration and finance transformation activity
• Facilitating workshops and presenting findings to senior stakeholders and executives

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who can operate confidently across both investment management and finance/accounting environments.

You should have experience in several of the following:

• Strong background in investment management / asset management / insurance
• Solid understanding of financial instruments (e.g. derivatives, fixed income, private credit, FX)
• Experience with finance systems and General Ledger processes
• Knowledge of month-end close, accounting flows, or financial reporting
• Exposure to investment platforms (e.g. Aladdin, CRD/CRIMS, Clearwater, etc.)
• Experience working on large-scale transformation or system implementation programmes
• Strong skills in process modelling, operating model design, and requirements gathering
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders (investment, finance, and technology teams)

This is not a standard Business Analyst role.
