We are expanding our Quality Assurance function with a dedicated tester who can drive automated testing, strengthen release reliability, and ensure our WMS platforms are robust, scalable, and ready for real-world warehouse environments.
Role Overview
The Automation-Focused Software Tester will be responsible for planning, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks across our WMS platforms, with additional manual QA work where required.
This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for automation, wants to influence QA strategy, and enjoys working closely with developers, product managers, and end users to ensure our products meet the highest standard of performance and reliability.
You will contribute across the full testing lifecycle: requirement analysis, test case creation, automated script development, regression coverage, and release validation.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Testing (Primary Focus)
- Design, build, and maintain automated testing scripts for Products 3.6 and V7 WMS.
- Develop scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins/Azure/etc.).
- Continuously expand automation coverage to reduce manual regression workload.
- Monitor automation test runs, analyse failures, and maintain high execution reliability.
Manual QA & Functional Testing
- Conduct manual exploratory testing where automation is unsuitable.
- Perform regression, smoke, sanity, and functional tests for new releases.
- Validate system updates, patches, and new features across web and mobile.
- Reproduce and investigate customer-reported issues.
- Document test results clearly and thoroughly.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Owners to understand real warehouse user workflows.
- Communicate test results and quality risks to development and business teams.
- Collaborate with developers during sprint cycles to prevent issues early.
- Help shape a culture of quality, robust testing, and proactive risk mitigation.
Technical & Process Responsibilities
- Maintain well-structured test plans, test cases, and documentation.
- Support load, stress, performance, and scalability testing as needed.
- Participate in code reviews of test automation scripts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tooling.
- Support release cycles and deployment activities.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on testing experience in a software environment.
- Demonstrable experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Postman/Newman, or similar.
- Experience writing automated tests in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies (smoke, regression, sanity, UAT, exploratory, etc.).
- Experience testing web applications, ideally with API/backend validation.
- Ability to analyse requirements and design effective test plans/cases.
- Strong critical thinking skills—someone who questions, challenges, and digs deeper.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with a systematic approach and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently across multiple projects and deadlines.
Desirable / Nice to Have
- Experience with WMS, logistics, or ERP systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-driven automation environments.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Locust, or Gatling.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Ability to set up environments, test data, and automated workflows end-to-end.
What We're Looking For
We want a tester who is:
- Proactive and curious.
- Passionate about automation and test quality.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking the right questions.
- Able to think like a warehouse user, not just a developer.
