Diabetes Administrator

Job summary

The post holder will be an integral member of the Diabetes Team at Russell's Hall Hospital and will be supporting and assisting the department secretary with everyday administration duties for the smooth running of the department. The post holder will also support our clinics administratively to help ensure the clinicians and the patients have the best possible experience and the clinics run as effectively as possible. The role will require use of hospital IT systems.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will, support and assist with maintaining Libre/Dexcom Microsoft Excel database. Book, send and reschedule any appointments for patients on Libre/Dexcom. Input activity data/ contacts to Oasis and book patients to clinics asrequired. Assist with GP prescription letters and send via email to GP practices. Maintain departmental email inbox's for Libre, Dexcom and Training and reply to staff/patients in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Essential
  • GCSE pass in English Language & Maths / equivalent A - C grades / Functional Skills level 2
  • Proof of competence with Microsoft office applications i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Outlook
Desirable
  • Typing/Word processing qualification
  • VVQ Level 2 in Customer Service/ business administration
