Digital Project Manager - MOC

Job summary

The IT Department is responsible for delivering Information Technology to the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. In addition IT is responsible for delivering revenue generating IT services to other NHS organisations and private enterprises involved in the delivery of Healthcare. IT has a total user count of approximately 10,000. Services are delivered from multiple Datacentres.

As a Digital Project Manager, you will be responsible for a number of digital projects which are pivotal to the key strategic priorities of the Trust. The successful candidate will work within the Digital, Data and Technology Team of our Digital Trust across several high-profile projects such as

  • Health Care Communications
  • e-Forms

This will involve the co-production of solutions with citizens, clinicians, and various advisory groups. You will have therefore have experience of communicating effectively with a wide variety of people, be a problem solver and have a track record of successfully implementing digital solutions. In turn, you will get an opportunity to excel within a Digital Portfolio Delivery team who are focused on delivery by supporting each other.

Main duties of the job

  • Managing and delivering multiple complex projects which fall within the Trust's Digital Programme.
  • Establishment, oversight, challenge and support to the Trust's Digital Portfolio work-streams.
  • Supporting the identification, development and implementation of Digital Projects
  • Generating new ideas, bringing forward ideas for change and actively designing and developing the system configuration to improve the delivery of IT solutions.
  • Development of project documentation and reports, ensuring that they are fit for the appropriate audience and governance structure.
  • Developing key internal and external relationships, working independently and within a wider team with a flexible approach.
  • Be an ambassador for IT services and deliver

Education & Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with post graduate qualification or experience in a project management-related subject
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Experience of delivery of large scale complex projects across the ICB
Desirable
  • Qualification in management, organisational development, change management or similar

Skills & Experience

Essential
  • Significant experience of system design and configuration
  • Experience of managing projects with active stakeholder, public and patient involvement
  • Experience of using project planning tools, such as Monday.com, Smartsheets or MS projects
Desirable
  • Significant experience of managing high profile contentious projects within an Acute Trust
  • Project management experience within the NHS

  • Ability to interpret and apply national guidance
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
