The Role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Talent Acquisition Partner to join our global Talent Acquisition team on a 12 month fixed term contract (with the potential to turn into a permanent role).

This role will focus on delivering high-impact hiring across our technology, data and product functions. You will act as a trusted talent partner to senior stakeholders, combining data-led insight with headhunting expertise to identify, engage, and hire exceptional candidates directly into The Economist Group.

You will also be actively involved in driving process improvements and project based work related to DE&I, Employer Brand etc.

How You Will Contribute in This Role

Talent Strategy & Business Partnership

  • Partner with senior leaders across Technology, Product & Data to shape hiring plans aligned with business goals.
  • Advise on talent market dynamics and hiring best practices.
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers, providing consultative guidance throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Influence and educate stakeholders on talent attraction, direct sourcing, and DEI in hiring.

Direct Sourcing & Headhunting

  • Lead on end-to-end hiring for senior technology, product and data roles across EMEA.
  • Use creative sourcing strategies - including LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, and market mapping - to identify passive talent.
  • Act as an ambassador for The Economist Group, promoting our brand and values to external candidates.
  • Maintain a steady pipeline of high-calibre talent for critical and recurring roles.

Process Excellence & Candidate Experience

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from role briefing to offer stage, ensuring a best-in-class experience for every candidate.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop clear role briefs, interview scorecards, and selection processes.
  • Champion fair and inclusive hiring practices at every stage.
  • Track and report on key hiring metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Partner closely with the wider People team on workforce planning, internal mobility, and succession pipelines.
  • Support junior members of the TA team with sourcing, interview training, and stakeholder management where required.
  • Contribute to global TA projects focused on process optimisation, employer branding, and DEI initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years recruitment experience with proven success recruiting senior-level Tech & Product roles, ideally within the media/creative or technology sectors.
  • Experience working in a small high-performing in-house recruitment team, comfortable managing multiple priorities autonomously.
  • Strong headhunting and direct sourcing skills, with a track record of engaging senior, passive candidates.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility with executives and hiring managers.
  • Commercially savvy, with an understanding of how talent strategy impacts business performance.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Confident using LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS platforms (Greenhouse experience an advantage).
  • Passionate about delivering an outstanding candidate experience and championing DEI in recruitment.

This is a hybrid role based in our London office 3+ days a week.
