Finance Director (Interim & Permanent)

Competitive (low six-figure salary) + bonus (or day rate equivalent)

A market-leading technology business, part of a listed PLC group (c.£40m turnover, finance team of five), is looking to appoint a Finance Director to join its Executive Management Team.

Two options available:

• Immediate interim requirement (3 months+) to provide leadership cover
• Permanent role for long-term ownership

Operating across the UK, US, and Germany, this is a high-impact role partnering closely with the CEO and Group CFO. This role would suit a first-time Finance Director or an experienced Financial Controller looking to step up.

The Role

• Strategic partner to the CEO and Group CFO
• Lead financial planning, reporting, and performance across international operations
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts
• Drive financial and operational performance
• Oversee ERP, systems, and process improvements
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance
• Lead and develop the finance team
• Support Group initiatives, including M&A

About You

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Senior finance leader within technology, software, or advanced engineering
• Experience in multi-entity, international environments
• Strong technical grounding (IFRS, UK GAAP, tax)
• Experience with ERP systems and driving improvements
• Exposure to R&D accounting and cost control
• Confident operating at Exec level
