About the Role

Are you a qualified Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor looking for a flexible, fully remote role? I have great opportunity to join a growing security consultancy and play a key role in delivering high-quality assurance services across a diverse client base.

This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, is confident managing assessments end-to-end, and takes pride in producing clear, evidence-based outcomes that genuinely help organisations strengthen their security posture. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to conduct assessments, explain findings in a practical way and support organisations through remediation to achieve and maintain certification.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conduct end-to-end Cyber Essentials Plus assessments remotely using approved tooling
  • Assess the five CE technical controls: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection, and patch management
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and configuration reviews across Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile, and cloud environments
  • Write clear, evidence-backed assessment reports with findings and remediation guidance
  • Guide clients through non-compliant findings and advise on remediation pathways
  • Manage your own assessment caseload in line with certification body SLAs
  • Stay current with NCSC/IASME scheme updates and assessment requirements

What you’ll need

  • IASME Cyber Essentials Assessor certification
  • At least 2 years' experience in cyber security assessment or technical assurance
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools
  • Understanding of firewalls, network segmentation, and cloud environments (M365, Azure, AWS)
  • Ability to write professional assessment reports for both technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable:

  • Penetration testing qualifications (OSCP, CREST CRT, CHECK)
  • Experience in regulated sectors such as defence, healthcare, or financial services
