ERP Project Manager – Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (2-Year FTC)

Are you an experienced ERP Project Manager looking to lead a large-scale transformation programme within a high-growth, market-leading organisation?

We’re supporting a well-established and rapidly expanding business in the U K seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Project Manage r on a 2-year fixed-term basis. This is a key role driving the migration from a legacy ERP (Sage) to D365 F&O across multiple business units.

You’ll take ownership of the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery from initial planning through to post-go-live stabilisation.

The role

You will lead the end-to-end implementation of D365 F&O, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll drive coordination across functions including Finance, Operations, and IT.

Key areas include:

  • Leading the transition from Sage to D365 F&O, including data migration, integrations, and process alignment
  • Managing full lifecycle delivery – planning, execution, testing, deployment, and optimisation
  • Owning project governance, RAID logs, reporting, and steering committee engagement
  • Coordinating internal stakeholders and third-party implementation partners
  • Driving testing, user acceptance, training, and change management to ensure adoption
  • Monitoring post-go-live performance and driving continuous improvement
  • Managing budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards, including audit readiness

You will act as the key bridge between business and IT, translating requirements into clear deliverables and maintaining strong communication with senior stakeholders throughout.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (or Dynamics AX) implementations
  • Strong project management background (Prince2, PMP, Agile or similar)
  • Experience working with Sage ERP (e.g. Sage 200, Sage X3) is beneficial
  • Track record of managing full lifecycle ERP programmes (minimum 3 implementations preferred)
  • 5–7+ years’ experience in IT or business systems project management
  • Ability to manage mixed internal teams and external delivery partners
  • Strong understanding of Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations processes
  • Experience with data migration, integrations (Azure/Power Platform), and reporting (Power BI)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving

Skills Desirable

  • Industry experience in manufacturing, engineering, or auto
