Head of Security

Head of Operational Technology (OT)

Hybrid- Bristol 2 days a week in the office

Salary £90-100k base plus package and Bonus

I am looking for a Head of OT to lead the design, deployment, and support of communication and monitoring systems. This role combines hands-on technical oversight with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of OT engineers
• Own OT design from concept to commissioning
• Ensure cybersecurity and network performance standards are met
• Oversee documentation, integration, and supplier coordination
• Support reactive troubleshooting and participate in on-call rota
• Manage OT system maintenance and upgrades across UK sites

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven leadership in OT or industrial IT environments
• Strong knowledge of IT/OT networks, cybersecurity, and industrial protocols (Modbus, RS485)
• Familiarity with Windows admin, network tools, and remote troubleshooting
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and confident working across teams

Preferred:

• Experience with PV/BESS systems, Linux admin, Fortinet/Mikrotik/Moxa hardware
• AutoCAD and data acquisition systems knowledge

Requirements:

• STEM degree or equivalent experience
