Contract Role – Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)

£550–£600/day | Outside IR35

Remote within the UK

3-Month Contract | Start: Immediate

We’re supporting a fast-growing HR tech platform in hiring a strong, independent contractor to join their core engineering team on an urgent, business-critical project.

About the Role

This is a fully remote contract (approx. 60 working days). You’ll join a small, agile team with minimal documentation, where you’ll be expected to work independently and handle unfamiliar code with confidence. The initial focus will be fixing 18 bugs in a key module and there’s scope for extension.

Must-Have Skills

• Expert-level TypeScript & Node.js
• NestJS (some experience is fine)
• MySQL or other relational DBs

Nice-to-Haves (Flexible)

• Angular (React experience also acceptable)
• GraphQL
• AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3)
• New Relic
• Caching & performance tuning
• Secure coding practices

Soft Skills We're Looking For

• Excellent communication
• Comfortable working in uncertainty and ambiguity
• Able to navigate and fix unfamiliar code without relying on heavy documentation
