About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join Claritel. This hands-on role involves delivering IT and telecoms installations, maintenance, and support across a wide range of client environments, acting as the face of the business on-site.
The role also includes office-based project work and additional support to the service desk.
The successful candidate must have a full UK driving license and access to a car, although a company vehicle will be provided for site visits.
Key Responsibilities- Install and test structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fibre)
- Deploy IT and telecoms equipment (computers, network, Wi-Fi, VoIP)
- Build out cabinets/racks and ensure professional cable management
- Conduct site surveys and recommend improvements
- Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues
- Support installations, upgrades, and relocations
- Communicate clearly with clients and provide excellent service
- Strong technical knowledge of IT, networking, and cabling
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail
- Field engineering and cabling experience
- Experience within an MSP background
- Strong Windows, networking, and VoIP knowledge
- Exposure to cybersecurity and best practices
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Clean DBS check
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
