Cloud DevOps Engineer

The Fortune Group our recruiting for a leading financial services organisation who require a Cloud DevOps Engineer to strengthen its cloud infrastructure and support mission-critical systems that power global banking and investment operations.

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you’ll design and automate resilient cloud environments that meet the highest standards of security and compliance. You’ll work closely with technology and operations teams to deliver solutions that enable faster, safer, and more efficient financial services.

• Architect and automate cloud infrastructure for high-performance financial applications.
• Implement and manage virtual firewalls (e.g., CheckPoint, Cisco) to ensure regulatory compliance and security.
• Configure routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) for robust, high-availability networks.
• Champion Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform, Pulumi, and GitOps principles.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and troubleshooting.

• Proven experience as a Cloud DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance in financial services.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and API integration.
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols and high-availability architectures.
• Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Solid Linux knowledge and familiarity with open-source technologies.
