Asset Manager - BESS
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Asset Manager to support the management, optimisation, and compliance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and HV grid infrastructure, including associated transmission equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Performance & Asset ManagementWork with Technical Asset Managers to optimise the performance of BESS and HV assetsOversee Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) with OEMs, ensuring compliance and continuous improvementMonitor asset KPIs and identify performance optimisation opportunitiesSupport technical due diligence for new acquisitions and onboarding into internal systemsContribute to lifecycle planning, reinvestment strategy, and long-term asset optimisationAssist with OPEX/CAPEX tracking and cost efficiency analysisSupport refurbishment and upgrade projects, ensuring procurement governance compliancePrepare asset performance reporting, including dashboards, board reports, and investor updatesSupport external reporting requirements (e.g., lenders, capacity markets, grid compliance submissions)Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, contractors, grid operators, and internal teamsEnsure clear, timely communication across all stakeholdersConduct site visits to assess asset condition and contractor performanceAct as a key contact for operational and technical asset queriesOperations & ComplianceManage O&M agreements and monitor performance KPIsEnsure compliance with grid codes, capacity market obligations, and regulatory requirementsSupport safety, environmental, and operational compliance across all assetsAssist with incident tracking, issue resolution, and contractor coordinationMaintain and update asset risk registersSupport governance reporting and performance reviewsCandidate ProfileEssential RequirementsMinimum 3 years’ experience in asset management or technical energy-sector roleExposure to BESS, renewables, HV infrastructure, or grid operationsUnderstanding of the power sector value chain, including OEM and technical asset management interfacesStrong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage both strategic and operational prioritiesProficiency with digital tools and asset management systemsFluent English and strong organisational capabilityDiscipline(s): Renewable Energy, Grid and StorageJob type: Permanent
