New Business Manager (energy sector)
We are partnering with an established Energy Business Intelligence organisation seeking a high-performing New Business Development Manager to drive subscription revenue growth.
You will own the full 360° sales cycle — from prospecting and cold outreach through to closing high-value subscription deals. This is a pure hunter role. (No account management | No inherited pipeline | No farming)
The Role
- Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to close
- Deliver against revenue-based KPIs and activity targets
- Generate new business revenue through proactive prospecting and lead generation
- Execute multi-channel outreach (cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, events)
- Identify, qualify, and convert new customers into subscription revenue
- Close deals with an average order value of £20,000+
- Maintain pipeline visibility using Salesforce or similar CRM
- You will be responsible for planning and executing demand generation activity to drive consistent new revenue growth within the energy sector
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in full-cycle B2B new business sales
- Proven track record of consistently hitting and exceeding revenue targets
- Experience selling subscription-based products or data/business intelligence solutions
- Background within the energy sector (renewables highly desirable)
- Demonstrated success closing £20k+ average order value deals
- Strong cold-calling and outbound prospecting capability
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Highly driven, target-motivated and competitive mindset
- Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Experience in market intelligence, data, or research-based subscription sales is a significant advantage.
