IT Support Engineer - Medical - Leeds - Rolling Contract
My global client based in Leeds has an urgent requirement for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join on a 12 month rolling contract basis.
ROLE: -
Working in heavily regulated industry - medical devices - so all activities must be compliant with standards.
Working with Service Now, picking up and resolving end user requests related only to manufacturing and lab type applications. These are typically installing software, trouble shooting application and communication issues. Resolution could include liaising with application technical support and or internal infrastructure support services. The focus is on the quality of the work - and not the volume.
Role would also help with some IT project work, installing and qualifying new Manufacturing and Research and Development computer systems and apparatus. A part of the role does involve creating written records.
REQUIRED SKILLS: -
Ability to support Win10/Win11 Desktop
Ability to support All MS Server Versions
Ability to support Linux/RHEL 8.5 and above would be a benefit but not essential.
A strong understanding of networking concepts at client to server level essential.
No Lab or Manufacturing software experience essential.
Hardware support is minimal - but experience with Dell or Lenovo hardware advantageous.
Industry qualifications – ideally MCITP but MCSE/MCSA/MCDST possible.
ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation certification very useful.
Some working knowledge of Computer systems validation and application change control advantageous.
PM experience (PRINCE2) a nice to have – however strong technical skills and enthusiasm prerequisite.
