Purpose of RoleThe IT Bay is a fast-growing ecommerce business supplying IT and electronics to both B2B and B2C customers across the UK. We’re now at a pivotal point in our growth journey, and we’re looking for two high-performing Sales Account Managers who are excited by the opportunity to help shape the future sales direction of the business.
This is not a standard sales role. It’s a unique chance for commercially minded sales professionals to join a business with huge potential, a growing digital footprint, and the freedom to make a real impact.
The successful candidates will play a central role in defining our route-to-market strategy, building customer relationships from the ground up, and helping establish The IT Bay as a recognised and respected brand in the UK IT channel.
What You’ll Be Doing- Identifying and closing new business opportunities, including your own prospecting and outreach
- Building, owning and developing customer accounts over time
- Working closely with vendors and distributors to structure competitive deals and solutions
- Collaborating with the ecommerce and marketing teams on campaign ideas, promotions and content
- Feeding into our overall sales strategy, approach and customer engagement playbook
- Representing The IT Bay in a professional, credible and ambitious way

What We’re Looking For- A proven background in B2B sales, ideally in the IT channel (hardware, software, services or distribution)
- Confident in handling the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, quoting, closing, and managing accounts
- A self-starter who’s comfortable owning targets, leads and outcomes without micromanagement
- Someone who thrives on new business, strategic thinking and building relationships from scratch
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems to manage and report on activity
Desirable (but not essential)- Experience working in an ecommerce-led business or alongside digital marketing teams
- Familiarity with vendor deal registration, bid pricing or structured projects
- Confidence producing basic sales content or promotional ideas for campaigns
