At the IET, making our world a better place starts by creating a better place for our people. At the IET you’ll have more than just a job. Our work is exciting and challenging, connecting the people who solve the problems that matter. It means working with us has real meaning and impact, and you’ll grow – professionally and personally – in ways you never thought possible.
What you’ll be doing
As our Product Manager for Inspec, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the IET’s world-class Inspec suite, with a core focus on unlocking value through strong, strategic reseller partnerships. You’ll work at the heart of our product strategy, building deep, collaborative relationships with resellers to ensure Inspec is seamlessly integrated into their platforms, embedded into their roadmaps, and positioned for long-term shared growth.
You’ll combine customer insight, technical understanding, and commercial awareness to evolve the Inspec product ecosystem, ensuring functionality, workflows and integrations deliver clear benefits for reseller partners and end-users alike. From aligning development priorities to identifying enhancement opportunities, you’ll make sure our products support, and accelerate, customer [BV1] success.
In addition, you’ll translate partner and customer needs into actionable user stories, guide development from concept to launch, and champion innovation, including the creation of AI-enabled workflow tools. Working closely with Operations, Technology, Data Science, Sales and Engagement, you’ll ensure Inspec continues to exceed the expectations of resellers, researchers, librarians and institutions worldwide.
What we hope you can bring to the role
We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager who understands the STM, scholarly communications or data/analytics landscape and knows how to bring intelligence [BV2] products to life. You’ll be comfortable working with technical teams, skilled at turning business problems into product solutions, and confident managing the full lifecycle of features, enhancements and new services.
You’ll thrive on building strong, productive relationships, particularly with reseller partners, ensuring we’re aligned on roadmaps, integrating effectively into their platforms, and delivering shared value. Your analytical mindset, commercial awareness and ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences will help drive Inspec forward.
If you bring a passion for product innovation, an eye for detail and a collaborative approach to delivering meaningful customer outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
