About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Workshop Solutions Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of technical solutions across our multi-brand diagnostics, SaaS platforms, and training products.

This is a pivotal role within a Tier One automotive company, overseeing key product portfolios and ensuring exceptional quality and innovation. You will have one direct report (Diagnostics Engineer) and work cross-functionally with suppliers and internal teams to shape the future of our workshop technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure product and software solutions are innovative and market-leading
  • Lead technical evaluation and sign-off processes for all new products, ensuring engineering standards are consistently met
  • Collaborate across teams to enhance product coverage and performance, based on technical feedback and user input
  • Manage software bug reporting and resolution processes, ensuring swift action and high-quality outcomes
  • Oversee the continuous development and optimisation of hardware platform processes and tools, with a focus on scalability and reliability

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 3+ years in a similar role within the automotive or diagnostics sector
  • Hands-on experience in multi-brand diagnostics
  • Knowledge of OE diagnostic tools and software
  • Understanding of automotive protocols including CAN, LIN, MOST, Ethernet
  • Experience with diagnostic protocols: Keyword, DiagOnCan, UDS, DoIP
  • Familiarity with J2534 PassThru implementation and diagnostic workflow
  • Exposure to UX/UI design, with experience using Figma and Microsoft Visio
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, WPF/XAML, XML/XSL
  • Comfortable with tools like Git, Jira, and Mantis

Preferred:

  • Background working within a global or matrix organisation
  • Previous experience as a Scrum Product Owner
  • Understanding of Angular Material and Material Design principles
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry
