Job summary
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Services Operations team as a Digital Operations Analyst at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.
The Digital Operations Team support the trust Cyber Security, Servers, Network and Data Storage, along with the implementation and support of new systems.
The successful candidate will lead the implementation of new digital solutions, ensure compliance with relevant standards, support and maintain the existing servers and storage, and monitor the performance of the estate to identify and correct potential issues.
We are looking for a friendly, motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate to deliver high-quality services and contribute to its ongoing development. Experience of working in a high-pressured NHS IT service environment with the ability to communicate with confidence to staff and customers at all levels, would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job
The Digital Operations Analyst will be a key member of the Digital Services team, responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and resilience of the Trusts digital infrastructure, systems, and data.
The role involves managing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Trust's server and storage estate in line with industry standards, legal requirements, and NHS guidelines. The post holder will provide expert technical advice and operational support on digital platform matters across the organisation, including risk assessments, threat mitigation, and incident response.
Working closely with other Digital Services teams, the Digital Operations Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the Trusts digital strategy, implementing solutions, and monitoring and maintaining the digital environment

Job responsibilities
- Maintenance and support of the storage area networks (SAN) and provide knowledge on server and storage configuration and associated topics
- Maintenance and support of Microsoft AlwaysOn VPN and or MS RRAS
- Maintain and support of physical server infrastructure and virtual server environment and operating systems as well as a virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Working closely with other team members to support IT applications. e.g. Microsoft Active Directory, RD-Web, VMWare, System Centre Configuration Manager, SQL Server.
- Provide expertise to the implementation and ongoing support of systems and services
- Contribute to the production of new methodologies and solutions as required
- Identify and diagnose system problems, providing resolution or temporary workaround options
- Provide operating system and system architecture knowledge and contribute towards the creation of operating procedures
- Pro-active monitoring of system performance and capacity.
- Log and report service disruptions
- Monitoring incoming support requests from the Call Logging system and resolve these as required
- Liaise with internal departments and third party suppliers regarding hardware and software faults
