Senior ODA Delivery Manager

Job summary

The Senior Office of Data & Analytics (ODA) Delivery Manager is an important role as the Trust leads up to and delivers the Electronic Patient Record implementation.

The Senior ODA Delivery Manager will play in integral role in the prioritisation, planning and delivery of the Office of Data & Analytics work in alignment with the Trust's strategic priorities.

The Senior ODA Delivery Manager will work with senior colleagues to identify and refine key requirements. This post will then negotiate and agree priorities amongst the ODA's Extended SLT.

The Senior ODA Delivery Manager will take these priorities on to The ODA Multidisciplinary Squads (which may contain Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Analysts, Data Scientists, Data & Analytics Business Partners, Test Engineers etc.) and oversee the delivery of the projects through agile management techniques.

The Senior ODA Delivery Manager will communicate progress and blockers clearly and will facilitate the delivery of squad's work.

Main duties of the job

The Senior ODA Delivery Manager's main duties will be to:

  • Drive the prioritisation & refinement of requirements
  • Gain consensus between ODA extended SLT on priorities
  • Take priorities into multi-disciplinary squads
  • Manage the delivery of priority requirements within the squads
  • Communicate progress back to ODA extended SLT and beyond
  • Provide line management as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Educated to Masters Level or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of experience in a relevant field
  • Certified Agile Qualification or good knowledge and experience of agile practices, tools and techniques

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of digital industry standards and processes for successfully planning and managing the delivery of digitally enabled systems and services
  • An understanding of equal opportunities and the meaning of valuing diversity
  • Excellent analytical and data/information management skills
  • Excellent communication skills including preparation and delivery of presentations, workshop design/ facilitation and highly effective inter-personal communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate highly complex ideas to a range of audiences where there are significant barriers to acceptance
  • Excellent leadership skills – able to identify and adopt appropriate management and leadership strategies and styles to suit specific situations

  • Proven experience in challenging and removing any unnecessary barriers to service delivery

  • Extensive client-facing / stakeholder management experience including clients, stakeholders and contractors
