Human Resources Advisor

I’m currently partnering with a fast paced, growing tech organisation based in Cambridge as they look to bring in a People Advisor to join their People team.

The business is operating at the forefront of advanced technology, they have a strong runway and this role will see you joining them in such an exciting and critical time of their growth. With ambitious scaling plans and a highly collaborative culture, this is a great opportunity to join an organisation where the People function plays a key role in supporting both employees and leaders through an exciting period of expansion.

This role sits within the People Operations team, and works closely with the wider function. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the business, providing practical HR support to managers and employees while also helping to improve and evolve people processes as the company grows.

You’ll act as a trusted first point of contact for HR advice, supporting across the full employee lifecycle. The role will involve coaching managers through people challenges, providing guidance on policies and best practice, and helping to ensure a positive and inclusive employee experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries from managers and employees
  • Coaching line managers on people matters, HR policies and best practice
  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to exit
  • Providing guidance on employment relations and people processes
  • Helping to review and improve HR processes as the organisation continues to scale
  • Ensuring policies and procedures remain compliant and fit for a fast-moving environment
  • Contributing to wider People projects and initiatives

What they’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a HR Advisor / People Advisor level role
  • Strong generalist HR knowledge with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
  • Someone approachable and credible who enjoys building trusted relationships
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or growing environment would be beneficial
  • Confidence using HR systems and working with people data
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain HR matters clearly

A CIPD qualification would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

This is a great opportunity to join a high-growth organisation where the People team is highly valued and plays an important role in supporting the business as it continues to scale.
