Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Cambridge)

Role: Embedded Software Contractor

Location: Cambridge / Hybrid

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Embedded Software Contractor to contribute to the development of next-generation 5G-based products within a growing technology company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement platform-level security features for Embedded Linux systems.
• Harden the Linux kernel and system services.
• Collaborate with software teams to embed secure development practices (SSDLC).
• Conduct security assessments and perform static/dynamic analysis of firmware.
• Integrate system-level logging and intrusion detection capabilities.

About You:

• Strong background in Embedded Linux and system-level C programming.
• Experience with Linux hardening tools and techniques.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
• Solid understanding of secure boot, firmware validation, and cryptographic signing.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator and team collaborator.

Working Pattern:

• Minimum 2 days a week onsite
