BI Report Developer

Oldham College is looking for a BI Report Developer to join our Information Systems team and help shape the future of data intelligence across the College. About the Role As our BI Report Developer , youll design, test, and maintain high-quality business intelligence solutions. From building accurate reports and dynamic dashboards to ensuring robust data integration, your work will directly support decision-making across the College. Youll work with tools such as SQL, Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, Python, and Excel to deliver accurate and timely insights. Alongside building technical solutions, youll also provide expert support to colleagueshelping them streamline processes, improve accuracy, and make smarter use of data. What Youll Do Develop clear, impactful reports and dashboards using SQL, Power BI, and Excel. Build efficient data processing solutions using SQL Server Integration Services and Python. Support colleagues across the College with data-driven insights and technical expertise. Ensure consistent standards and best practice in coding, documentation, and reporting. Contribute to system improvements, process automation, and analytics development. Support data governance, compliance, and security, including GDPR and Cyber Essentials. Abou t You Were looking for someone with: Proven experience in BI reporting, data visualisation, and system functionality. Advanced skills in Excel, including pivots, formulas, and v-lookups. Strong SQL knowledge and experience with SSRS/Power BI dashboards. An understanding of data governance and GDPR compliance. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines. A collaborative approach with the confidence to work independently when needed. Experience in the FE sector, and familiarity with systems such as EBS or iTrent, would be an advantage, but not essential.
