It's an environment where engineering depth, innovation and commercial thinking sit side-by-side, and where product management genuinely shapes the future of the portfolio.This is a new and key role in the organisation - you will fully own the full product lifecycle, drive product direction, collaborate across technical and commercial teams, and ensure strategy stays aligned with customer needs and market opportunity.Working closely with engineering, R&D, operations, sales and senior leadership, you will take responsibility for a set of product lines ensuring they remain competitive, commercially sound and technically robust. Your role will include:

  • Defining, maintaining and communicating product roadmaps.
  • Gathering customer requirements, market trends and competitive insights to guide direction.
  • Translating technical capability into clear, compelling propositions.
  • Partnering with engineering teams to scope new features, enhancements and product developments.
  • Building business cases, pricing models and ROI assessments to support commercial planning.
  • Providing pricing input for quotations, bids and tenders.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for customer discussions, demos and trade shows.
  • Monitoring product performance post-launch and recommending improvements or lifecycle transitions.

This is a highly visible role that blends technical understanding with commercial judgement.What we need from you: As someone who is comfortable operating between technical and commercial worlds, with the confidence to influence at all levels, ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in product management within a high-technology, engineering or electronics environment.
  • Strong understanding of product development cycles and requirements capture.
  • Technical competence, confident discussing specifications, architectures and features.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across R&D, Operations, Sales and Marketing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A relevant qualification in engineering, physics or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Natural curiosity, commercially aware and driven by creating products that stand out in their markets.
