Someone practical, resourceful and delivery-focused, who enjoys taking ownership of complex product projects and seeing them through to manufacturing handover.The position sits within a growing technology business developing advanced, engineered products used in demanding environments. The projects are high visibility, business critical and technically complex. This is not a support or coordination role. You will be directly accountable for delivery.What you will be doing:
- Owning and delivering multiple complex product development projects at the same time
- Managing projects from development through to manufacturing handover
- Delivering against demanding schedules, budgets and quality expectations
- Leading regular project meetings including planning, reviews and retrospectives
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans
- Removing roadblocks through pragmatic, lateral thinking
- Knowing when to push forward and when to escalate appropriately
- Working closely with software, hardware, quality and manufacturing teams
- Partnering with technical leads, architects and product managers
- Ensuring project management processes are followed and continuously improved
- Building trust, engagement and accountability within project teams
- Embedding quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
What do we need from you:
- Direct, hands-on project management experience
- A degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Formal project management training or certification such as APM, PRINCE2, SAFe, IPMA or equivalent
- At least three years' experience delivering complex, product-led projects
- Experience in product project management with either a hardware or software bias
- A strong appreciation of electronics hardware and hardware/software integration
- Experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments
- A solid understanding of software development lifecycles, including embedded, platform or application-based products
- Experience with configuration management and continuous integration workflows
- A practical, can-do attitude with a resourceful approach to problem solving
- Confidence leading cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience working with external suppliers under Statements of Work
