Project Manager If you describe yourself as someone with a can-do attitude who looks for solutions rather than blockers, this one should feel like a good fit.This role is for a Project Manager who likes being in the thick of things. Someone practical, resourceful and delivery-focused, who enjoys taking ownership of complex product projects and seeing them through to manufacturing handover.The position sits within a growing technology business developing advanced, engineered products used in demanding environments. The projects are high visibility, business critical and technically complex. This is not a support or coordination role. You will be directly accountable for delivery.What you will be doing:

  • Owning and delivering multiple complex product development projects at the same time
  • Managing projects from development through to manufacturing handover
  • Delivering against demanding schedules, budgets and quality expectations
  • Leading regular project meetings including planning, reviews and retrospectives
  • Managing risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans
  • Removing roadblocks through pragmatic, lateral thinking
  • Knowing when to push forward and when to escalate appropriately
  • Working closely with software, hardware, quality and manufacturing teams
  • Partnering with technical leads, architects and product managers
  • Ensuring project management processes are followed and continuously improved
  • Building trust, engagement and accountability within project teams
  • Embedding quality throughout the delivery lifecycle

What do we need from you:

  • Direct, hands-on project management experience
  • A degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Formal project management training or certification such as APM, PRINCE2, SAFe, IPMA or equivalent
  • At least three years' experience delivering complex, product-led projects
  • Experience in product project management with either a hardware or software bias
  • A strong appreciation of electronics hardware and hardware/software integration
  • Experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments
  • A solid understanding of software development lifecycles, including embedded, platform or application-based products
  • Experience with configuration management and continuous integration workflows
  • A practical, can-do attitude with a resourceful approach to problem solving
  • Confidence leading cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with external suppliers under Statements of Work
