Location: Manchester City Centre

Salary: Up to £35,000 (OTE £90,000 - uncapped commissions)

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:45am - 5:30pm (plus 1 in 4 Saturdays between 10am - 2pm overtime paid)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-performing, result-oriented Business Development Manager to join our UK sales function. In this integral role, you will lead the charge in driving sales targets for our innovative HR software.

You will join a passionate team dedicated to making a difference and achieving targets. This role is perfect for a high-calibre sales professional with a deep understanding of SaaS and payroll advice who thrives on identifying new opportunities and delivering award-winning software demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy: Identify target markets and decision-makers within SMBs to self-generate HR prospects.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct product demonstrations and consult on payroll solutions while upselling integrated HR and H&S software.
  • Compliance: Follow business regulations and FCA guidelines, staying updated on industry changes.
  • Performance: Achieve monthly KPI targets and overall business revenue goals.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a compliant, steady flow of qualified opportunities and provide regular deep-dive forecasts.
  • Client Engagement: Build senior-level relationships and act as a subject matter expert for all products and services.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record in B2B sales, specifically within software or managed services.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of PAYE, NI, P60s, P11Ds, and statutory payments like SSP and SMP.
  • Pipeline Skills: Demonstrated ability to generate and manage a robust sales pipeline.
  • Tools: Proficiency with CRM and engagement platforms such as Salesforce, Genesys, or NICE.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and organizational skills with a professional, enthusiastic approach.
  • Qualifications: Relevant certifications (CPP / CIPP) are a plus but not required.
