Salesforce Marketing Cloud Manager

Own the platform. Shape the customer journey. Drive revenue.

We're working with a growing, multi-brand professional services group that is looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Manager / Product Owner to take ownership of its SFMC environment and customer journey strategy.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows SFMC inside out and is looking for a role where they can genuinely shape how the platform is used across a complex, multi-business organisation.

You'll own the Salesforce Marketing Cloud product and the wider customer journey function, designing and optimising automated journeys that move customers from initial engagement through to opportunity, revenue, cross-sell and retention.

Working closely with Marketing, RevOps, Data and Performance teams, you'll turn customer data, behaviour and commercial insight into highly targeted, personalised journeys that deliver measurable results.

You'll have ownership across 23 business units, giving you plenty of scope to build, improve and standardise how SFMC is used across the wider group.

Day to Day

  • Own SFMC end-to-end, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Data Extensions and Email/Mobile Studio
  • Lead the roadmap, governance and ongoing development of the SFMC platform
  • Design and build complex customer journeys across acquisition, conversion, cross-sell, retention and partner/referrer activity
  • Develop lifecycle strategies across the full customer journey from lead and MQL through to opportunity, revenue and advocacy
  • Build sophisticated journey logic including triggers, decision trees, suppression and exit criteria
  • Use customer data, intent, behaviour and propensity to deliver more personalised communications
  • Develop and optimise cross-sell and customer growth programmes
  • Work closely with Sales, RevOps, Data and wider Marketing teams
  • Own journey analytics and reporting, measuring commercial impact rather than simply engagement
  • Set best practice and governance standards across the group
  • Lead and develop a small team, setting objectives and driving performance
  • Keep on top of deliverability, sender reputation and evolving email best practice

We're looking for someone who has genuine product ownership experience within Salesforce Marketing Cloud rather than someone who has simply used it as part of a wider marketing role.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or a comparable enterprise platform such as Marketo)
  • Experience owning a complex SFMC product/service across multiple brands, business units or markets
  • A background in B2B marketing, ideally within a matrix organisation
  • Experience managing complex customer journeys involving lead nurture, opportunity acceleration, upsell, cross-sell and retention
  • Strong understanding of SFMC architecture, automation and journey design
  • Experience working with CRM, data and commercial teams
  • A commercially minded approach, with a focus on pipeline, conversion and revenue
  • Experience of managing or mentoring a team

Important: Salesforce Pardot experience alone won't be enough for this role. We're looking for someone with genuine enterprise-level SFMC or equivalent platform experience.

What's on offer?

  • £80,000 salary + performance-related bonus
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Professional development and learning budget
  • Pension and healthcare options
  • The opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of professional services businesses
  • Significant ownership and autonomy over the SFMC roadmap
  • A fast-paced, commercially focused environment
  • Real scope to shape the function and progress your career

If you're an experienced SFMC Product Owner / Manager who enjoys working in complex, multi-brand environments and wants genuine ownership of a platform that directly influences growth and revenue, we'd love to hear from you.
