Senior Azure Consultant

• Remote - open to candidates based anywhere in Ireland
• Up to €700/Daily Rate
• 6 Months Rolling Contract - April Start Date

My client is seeking an experienced Azure and Microsoft 365 specialist to assess, stabilise, and consolidate a complex Microsoft environment currently spread across two separate tenants. A previous merger of these environments was started but paused mid-way, resulting in ongoing operational challenges.

The primary objective of this role is to design and implement a clean, stable, single-domain Microsoft environment, while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform a full technical assessment of both Microsoft tenants

• Define a clear consolidation and stabilisation strategy

• Design and implement a single, stable domain/tenant model

• Resolve Azure, Intune, identity, and device management issues

• Simplify Microsoft 365 and Azure service consumption (including Copilot readiness)

• Work within agreed downtime windows to minimise business impact

• Produce clear documentation and recommendations

• Collaborate with internal IT and third-party support partners

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Azure tenant architecture and consolidation

  • Microsoft 365 (identity, Intune, licensing, services)

  • Hybrid and multi-tenant environments

• Proven experience merging or untangling Microsoft tenants

• Comfortable getting hands-on in live, complex environments

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

• Ability to work independently and drive clarity from ambiguity

• Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach

• Comfortable working with partially completed or legacy designs

• Strong communicator (technical and non-technical stakeholders)

• Focused on creating a clean, supportable, long-term environment
