Business Development Manager (New Homes)
Our client is a growing and highly ambitious Proptech business operating across a number of UK Property sectors, and they are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the acquisition and growth of relationships with small and medium-sized property developers across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who enjoys building strategic partnerships, generating new business opportunities, and developing long-term client relationships within the residential development market. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's developer network, identifying new opportunities, and becoming a trusted partner to property developers nationwide. The Opportunity Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with residential property developers, from independent regional builders through to established SME development businesses. This is a consultative business development role where success will be driven by your ability to build credibility, understand client needs, and create long-term commercial partnerships. The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to directly influence the future growth of the business. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with small and medium-sized property developers across the UK.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective development clients.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers including Managing Directors, Land Directors, Development Directors, Sales Directors, and business owners.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, market research, industry events, and targeted outreach.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Develop tailored solutions that meet client objectives and commercial requirements.
- Manage the full business development cycle from initial introduction through to agreement and account growth.
- Build long-term strategic relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
- Maintain detailed records of activity, pipeline progression, and business development performance.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to support wider business strategy.
- Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, networking functions, and developer forums.
- Proven experience in business development, account management, or relationship management.
- Experience working within property, new homes, real estate, development finance, PropTech, estate agency, surveying, conveyancing, mortgages, or related sectors.
- A strong understanding of the residential development market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and business owners.
- The ability to build trust and develop long-term commercial partnerships.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial approach.
- Strong organisational and pipeline management skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.
