Job Title: Senior IT Engineer

Location: Crick, Northamptonshire 

Job Type: Temperary Contract

Salary: £17.15ph

The Recruitment Group is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior IT Engineer to join a dynamic and growing business based in Crick. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role in maintaining and developing IT infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across cloud and on-prem platforms (Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, virtualization, and networking)

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment

• Support cross-functional teams with reliable IT service delivery and ongoing system improvements

• Document processes and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users

• Help shape and define the IT services portfolio in line with business needs and security standards

• Monitor system performance, apply patches, and script using PowerShell

• Maintain service desk tickets and ensure timely resolution of internal IT requests

• Occasional out-of-hours support and travel to other UK sites may be required

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Hyper-V, desktop environments

• Hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, and Teams

• Active Directory and Entra ID administration skills

• Networking expertise (DNS, VPN, switches, Wi-Fi configuration and troubleshooting)

• Experience supporting and maintaining endpoint devices (PCs, printers, mobile)

• Familiarity with core business applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams)

• Scripting experience with PowerShell and understanding of patch management

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
