We are seeking a proactive and motivated Information Manager to support the Trusts Health Informatics function, with a particular focus on Community and Family Health services. Working within the Business Intelligence and Analytics team, the post holder will deliver high quality information, insight and analysis to support operational and clinical decision making across acute and community services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality information and performance reporting Including analysing data and producing clear insights that help teams understand performance, plan services and improve patient care. We operate on a hybrid working model with at least 40% on site presence to enable connectivity and customer contact. Flexible working options are available, and we are committed to supporting a healthy worklife balance. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an in person assessment centre, which will include a skills assessment covering SQL. Essential requirements include a masters degree or equivalent experience in an analytics role, strong SQL and Power BI skills, and knowledge of Electronic Patient Record systems such as SystmOne and Meditech. Main duties of the job
The Information Manager will lead and support information and reporting for Care Group 3 (Family Health) and Care Group 4 (Community Services). The role helps services deliver Trust priorities.Key responsibilities include:
- Working with services to understand requirements;
- Sourcing, validating, and governing data from multiple systems;
- Managing data flows into the data warehouse;
- Analysing data and producing high quality reports.
The role also supports timely national submissions, contributes to business cases and service development, promotes automation and self service reporting, and delivers training in analytical tools.The post holder will: take responsibility for the quality and timeliness of outputs within their designated areas of work, line manage and support the development of a small team including setting objectives, supporting development, managing performance, and maintaining documentation and operational processes. The successful candidate will have:
- Strong SQL skills,
- Experience of working with data warehousing,
- Knowledge of NHS data standards,
- Experience with data visualisation tools (preferably Power BI),and
- Experience of supervising, mentoring or developing other staff
- Experience with Electronic Patient Record systems such as SystmOne is desirable.
- Strong communication skills are essential at all levels.

Knowledge
- Highly developed specialist knowledge in Information Management, including complex analysis and presentation of data from multiple sources, the creation of reports and analysis to support service improvements and awareness of performance levels
- Knowledge of Health and Social care roles, responsibilities, priorities and strategic direction
- Significant experience of working within an Information/Data Management environment
- Knowledge of how to work with data contained within databases, to compile charts and visuals which support customer insight
- Demonstrable knowledge of statistical techniques and their application, Trend Analysis, SPC charts
- Knowledge of the NHS Key Performance Metrics and associated national reporting/policy requirements
- Knowledge of Community/ Acute Electronic Patient Records (EPRs) (e.g. Meditech, SystmOne)
- Detailed knowledge of SystmOne Reporting
- Nursing Key Performance Metrics and associated national reporting/policy requirements, such as CQC
Qualifications
- Educated to Masters Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience of working at a similar level in a specialist information/ data analyst environment
- Evidence of relevant continued professional development, eg Microsoft Products, Health and Social Care Policy
- Evidence of working in a NHS/Healthcare environment
- Evidence of relevant continued professional development including leading people or services.
- Completed the NHS QSIR Programme or equivalent
