EPR BI Lead and Data Warehouse Specialist
Job summary
The EPR Business Intelligence Lead & Data Warehouse Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery of the reporting strategy for data contained in the Trust's EPR system, they will work closely with both clinical teams and the wider Business Intelligence Team to scope, plan and deliver solutions that fulfil the Trust's clinical information reporting needs. The post holder will be a tenacious self-starter who will be able to engage directly with other Trusts and suppliers.
The BI Lead will ensure that reports are built using the Trust's reporting solutions in order to provide accurate, concise and clear information, ensuring compliance with national data definitions (where appropriate). The role will require analysis and manipulation of complex data sets to provide high quality EPR management information for the Trust's clinical staff and senior leaders. The post holder will regularly be required to make decisions on the best technical approach on specialist information issues and support any EPR data modelling or scenario testing for any service developments/changes.
A fundamental requirement of this role is the ability to engage with the Executive Team and clinical staff to understand and deliver on their data requirements for delivering quality care to everyone.
Main duties of the job
The EPR BI Lead & Data Warehouse Specialist will oversee the development of the initial Business Intelligence (BI) information service from the datasets to the Executives, Trust Management and Clinicians and contribute to the delivery of the Trust's Business Intelligence (BI) vision for the EPR Programme.
The role will provide technical leadership for the EPR-aligned data warehousing and analytics solution, ensuring that EPR, legacy and downstream data sources are integrated to support operational, clinical, regulatory and strategic reporting.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Post Graduate Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science) or equivalent level of relevant professional experience
- Relevant professional certifications in Business Intelligence, data platforms or analytics tools (e.g. Power BI or equivalent)
Experience
- Experience of designing, developing, testing and implementing robust reporting and data warehouse solutions.
- Experience supporting the delivery of reporting solutions within a major digital or systems implementation programme.
- Experience supporting EPR or large clinical system implementations.
- Experience working with BI tools and dashboards to support operational and clinical decision-making
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence and data warehouse principles, including reporting architectures and data flows.
- Knowledge of integrated dashboard design and development.
- Knowledge of EPR data structures and reporting models
Skills
- Experience of version control tools and techniques.
- oAbility to interpret and explain complex technical information in a non-technical way.
- Ability to create high quality project documentation including reports and policies.
