EPR Data Migration Workstream Lead
Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Orthopaedic NHS Foundation Trust as a key member of our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme. As a Data Migration Workstream Lead, you will play a vital role in the delivery of our Trust-wide EPR, which will replace our existing clinical systems and transform how clinical and operational information is recorded, accessed, and shared.
Leading the EPR Data Migration Workstream, you will be responsible for managing the 3rd party data migration partner and ensuring the accurate, complete, and secure migration of data from legacy systems into the new EPR. This role will require close collaboration with colleagues across the Trust, at all levels and across both clinical and operational services, offering a unique opportunity to broaden your understanding of healthcare workflows while enhancing your data and analytics expertise.
As part of the wider EPR Programme Team, you will contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the Trust's data migration toolkit, supporting the successful delivery of the programme's objectives. Your work will directly enable improved productivity, better information sharing, and enhanced patient outcomes across the ROH.
You will gain in-depth knowledge of the EPR system and invaluable experience working on a complex, large-scale digital transformation programme. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented problem solver with strong analytical skills.
Main duties of the job
The Data Migration Manager will lead on all aspects of data migration from audit and cleansing of existing legacy paper files and data records solutions (including but not limited to the PAS, Historical Records archive, and Data Warehouses) to the migration of datasets into defined target solutions. The role will manage resources and work with external stakeholders to ensure that the necessary infrastructure, processes, skills, and resources are available to support all Data Migration activities.
The Trust has procured the services of a specialist Data Migration provider. The role with manage the activities of this provider and hold suppliers to account for successful Data Migration activities. The role will represent the interests of the Trust's Senior Information Risk Officer (SIRO) and work closely with the Trust Information Governance Lead to ensure all legal duties are discharged.

- Previous experience of data migration activities in a healthcare environment.
- Extensive experience of NHS regulatory records processes and governance.
- Risk management experience of both operational and programme risks.
