Assistant Head of IT Projects
Working hours: Minimum 35 hours per week, working a minimum of 40% across each month in the Territorial Headquarters, London, SE5 8FJ

The Assistant Head of IT Projects is an exciting new role within the IT Department of The Salvation Army UK & Ireland territory.
Key responsibilities: The Assistant Head of IT Projects is responsible for the strategic management, planning, and control of half of IT Project delivery throughout The Salvation Army in the UK and Ireland (UKI) Territory, fulfilled through a team of professional IT project specialists.
Within this role you will;
- Develop and implement best practices to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of IT and change projects across the organisation.
- Work in close liaison with departments and units throughout The Salvation Army, ensuring that the organisation gains maximum benefit from its investment in information technology. The Assistant Head of IT Projects will ensure that projects support and enhance TSA’s mission.
- Direct and control the vendors and contractors who are vital to IT Project delivery.
The UKI Territory has adopted industry-standard project and programme management methodologies, in particular PRINCE 2. The Assistant Head of IT Projects will develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for administering IT projects based on this methodology.
