Interim Commercial Counsel – Open Banking / FinTech (9 Months)

💼 9-month contract – Start: ASAP ideally

We’re seeking an interim commercial lawyer to join a leading Open Banking/FinTech platform , part of a global payments group. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, commercially-driven business , providing commercial and regulatory legal support across innovative financial products.

The Opportunity

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and support regulatory matters
• Partner with product, sales, and commercial teams to close deals efficiently
• Take ownership of work, organise processes , and proactively drive initiatives
• Operate within a small, high-performing team in a collaborative culture

About You

• Qualified lawyer , 4–7 PQE
• Experience in FinTech/Open Banking or regulated banking with Open Banking exposure
• Generalist : comfortable handling commercial contracts, regulatory advice, and limited privacy work
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and commercially minded
• Able to work hybrid and thrive in a fast-moving environment
