Interim Commercial Lawyer – EMEA

Remote | Dutch Speaking/Writing/Reading Skills required | 12-Month Maternity Cover

We are supporting a global business in the search for an Interim Legal Director (EMEA) to cover a maternity leave, with an anticipated start date of early–mid July.

This is a senior, high-impact role supporting the Benelux region, with a strong focus on commercial/technology contracts within a decentralised international legal team.

🔹 Key Requirements:

✓ Dutch-qualified lawyer with strong experience advising on Dutch law (Netherlands)

✓ Native-level Dutch (speaking, reading, and writing essential – agreements will be in Dutch)

✓ Significant experience in commercial contracts, ideally within a tech / SaaS / fast-paced environment

✓ Proven ability to partner with sales teams and operate cross-functionally

✓ Strong communicator, confident stakeholder manager, and able to “hold their own” in a senior environment

✓ Comfortable working autonomously in a remote setup

🔹 Role Overview:

You will support the business on a broad range of commercial and tech-focused agreements, including customer and supplier contracts, while providing pragmatic, business-facing legal advice across the Benelux region.

The role requires someone who can quickly integrate, operate independently, and engage effectively with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
