The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of Sunderland College for a Computing & Digital Technology Lecturer to join their successful curriculum team from the start of the new academic year.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Computing Lecturer, Digital Technology Lecturer, IT Teacher, or industry professional looking to share their knowledge and inspire the next generation of digital talent.
The successful candidate will deliver Level 3 IT programmes and Access to HE Diploma courses in Computing & Digital Technology, supporting learners to develop the technical knowledge and skills required for further study, apprenticeships, and careers within the digital sector.
This opportunity has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The RoleAs a Computing & Digital Technology Lecturer, you will:
Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Level 3 IT and Access to HE Computing programmes
Support learners to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical digital skills
Plan, prepare, and deliver inclusive learning sessions
Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
Support adult learners studying towards Access to HE qualifications
Create a positive and professional learning environment
Contribute to learner achievement and progression
Monday: 8:30am – 4:30pm Tuesday: 5:00pm – 9:00pm Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm and 5:00pm – 9:00pm
What We're Looking ForEssential:
Relevant qualification in Computing, Computer Science, IT, Digital Technology, or a related subject
Experience teaching or training within Computing, IT, or Digital Technologies
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to engage and support learners from a range of backgrounds
Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS or equivalent)
Experience delivering Level 3 IT qualifications
Experience teaching Access to HE programmes
Industry experience within Computing, IT, Software Development, Cyber Security, Networking, or Digital Technologies
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
