The Thrive Interim Search Team are partnering exclusively with aviation start-up, a bold, design-led startup revolutionising air travel through the Connected Travel Experience (CTX), a smart, cloud-driven ecosystem reimagining in-flight tech.

We are supporting the recruitment for a low-level Firmware Developer who thrives on autonomy, innovation, and building elegant solutions for complex problems. If you love efficient C/C++ code, embedded Linux, and crafting clean firmware for real-world, high-stakes applications, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

• Writing low-level firmware for aviation-grade microcontrollers (C/C++)
• Developing on embedded Linux & SBCs (e.g. Raspberry Pi)
• Working on cutting-edge aviation systems (power, comms, entertainment)
• Collaborating with a tight-knit team of engineers
• Innovating within high-regulation, performance-critical environments

We’re looking for:

• Strong C/C++ skills & embedded firmware experience
• Linux and Modbus (or similar protocol) know-how
• Confidence solving tough bugs and building clean, robust code
• Bonus: experience in Aviation, Automotive, F1, or Defence systems

PLEASE NOTE: Although ideally located in the Northwest UK, this role will be Hybrid and can be home based, but there will be an expectation that you will need to visit the office a couple of times per month, or as and when required.
