Location: City of London - Hybrid

Key Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience with Oracle EPM Planning Cloud (minimum 2 full-cycle implementations).
  • Hands-on proficiency with Groovy Scripting for advanced business rules and calculations.
  • Deep understanding of driver-based planning models and their configuration.
  • Strong financial domain understanding (forecasting, budgeting, subscription-based planning).
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical design.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Self-starter capable of independently driving delivery, planning workshops, and interfacing with business users

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Workforce Planning module in Oracle EPM.
  • Prior implementation of planning solutions in finance/analytics-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with subscription-based revenue and cost modelling.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and EPM integration (eg, EPM Automate).

Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oracle EPM Planning Consultant to join Thebes Group. This role supports a global finance transformation initiative, with a focus on developing and enhancing driver-based planning models within Oracle Planning Cloud.

The successful candidate will lead and deliver high impact planning solutions, using Groovy Scripting to tailor complex calculations, enable intelligent data flows, and deliver actionable insights.This is a hands-on development role requiring strong communication skills, financial acumen, and experience with modern planning architectures.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and build of Oracle EPM Planning driver-based models for various planning domains (eg, revenue, cost, subscription modelling).
  • Develop and optimize Groovy scripts to extend functionality and deliver advanced logic.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, run workshops, and align planning models to business needs.
  • Configure forms, rules, dashboards, and validations to streamline planning processes.
  • Support planning scenarios such as rolling forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range outlooks.
  • Contribute to data integration, system testing, performance optimization, and documentation.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and support post-implementation stabilization.
