Senior Developer
Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading organisation based within the Watford area to recruit a Senior Developer to join their expanding team. This is a well established company that are looking to grow their internal IT team, with a view of further developing their brilliant customer portal. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to influence the organisation's technology direction. This person will be joining a team of 3, and be part of a team that will further grow due to the internal IT team growth and development of their customer portal. Salary - up to £75,000 depending on experience plus great benefitsHybrid working with 3 days in and 2 days from home Some of the duties will include:
- Take ownership of the development and maintenance of the internal customer portal
- Develop and enhance C#/.NET applications and RESTful APIs
- Build and maintain integrations with databases and business systems
- Develop robust, secure and maintainable solutions
- Work across both modern and legacy codebases
- Contribute to the modernisation of the technology estate
- Develop new internal tools and applications using Microsoft technologies
- Work with Azure, Power Platform and emerging AI technologies
- Participate in code reviews, testing and agile delivery
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
- Troubleshoot application and integration issues
- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver solutions
The suitable candidate:
- 5+ years' professional software development experience
- Strong C# and .NET experience, including .NET Framework
- Experience developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Linux-hosted applications
- Comfortable working with both modern and legacy systems
- Experience with Git/GitHub and agile development
- Able to work independently and take ownership from requirement through to delivery
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to share technical knowledge
- Interest in Power Platform and AI technologies
