Are you a hands on, proactive Event Engineer? Love live sports and events and want back door access?

Our client delivers multiple services across live sports and Venues. Known for their team first culture and complete packaged events, they are now looking for an Event Engineer to help provide full on-site tech support.

 Responsibilities as Event Engineer:

  • Deliver and support technical solutions across live events and venues, working to Event Pack and Budget guidelines.
  • Install and configure EPOS/MPOS systems in temporary or fixed environments, including user training.
  • Deploy and manage wired and Wi-Fi networks in high-density environments, ensuring PCI compliance where required.
  • Provide full on-site technical support during events, diagnosing and resolving issues quickly.
  • Maintain and store equipment securely between events, including workshop-based maintenance.
  • Uphold safe site working practices and contribute to sustainability efforts.
  • Lead small teams under pressure and adapt to changing environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ideally experience in the events industry or site-based working (exhibitions, conferences, green fields).
  • Good Layer 2 networking knowledge: CAT5 cabling, fibre, PoE, IP, subnets, routing, VLANs.
  • Experience with EPOS systems and payment solutions, ideally in a retail environment.
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
  • Outgoing and friendly personality with flexibility for staying away and working weekends.
