Job Title: Linux Engineer

Client: Market Maker

Our client is on the market for a competent Linux Engineer to work in their high-performing platform engineering team.

This position involves managing and optimising Linux server systems, supporting low-latency trading and LLM servers whilst driving automation. You’ll be working on the following:

  • System Administration
  • Automation and Configuration Management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to streamline and standardize operational workflows.
  • CI/CD
  • Performance Engineering: Tune Linux Systems and kernel parameters to support high-throughput, low-latency trading workloads.
  • The troubleshooting and optimising of Data Centre Operations

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Linux Expertise: 5+ years
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure networking fundamentals like VLAN configuration, IP addressing and their application in Linux environments
  • Python & Bash scripting
  • DevOps tooling

Highly competitive compensation, 5 days a week in the office (Central London)
