Role: MDM Data Architect - Product Domain

Location: Leeds, UK

Work Mode: Permanent - Hybrid - 3 Days/Week (Mandatory)

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Architect and design scalable MDM solutions for Product data (Primary domain) and Customer, Supplier, Location, Employee etc.(Secondary Domains) ensuring alignment with business needs and data governance standards.
  • Lead the data modelling efforts for Product entities including Item, Variant, Product Hierarchy, Pricing, Attributes, and Relationships.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data standards, taxonomies, and hierarchies for product data.
  • Integrate PIM systems with MDM platforms and downstream applications (eg, ERP, CRM, data platform).
  • Define and implement data quality rules, match & merge logic, and survivorship strategies.
  • Drive SCD (Slowly Changing Dimensions) strategies where applicable, especially for product life cycle management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data stewardship, workflow orchestration, and data governance are Embedded in MDM processes.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, including profiling, cleansing, monitoring, and remediation strategies.
  • Provide architectural guidance on MDM platform selection, cloud vs. on-prem deployment, and integration patterns (API, ETL, messaging).
  • Support metadata management, lineage tracking, and compliance initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with more than one MDM technology/platform (eg, Riversand, Informatica MDM, Semarchy, TIBCO EBX, Reltio).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in multi-domain MDM (Customer, Supplier, Location, etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data Lakehouse architectures.
