Senior Specialist - Avid MAM/Media Migration Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Avid Media Asset Management (Avid MAM) to support large-scale media and metadata migration initiatives for a global media client.
The role involves working closely with media operations, cloud platforms, and ingestion pipelines to ensure smooth migration and integration of media assets and metadata across environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Export, prepare, and validate media assets and metadata from Avid MAM systems for migration

Organize and structure source data to ensure accuracy and consistency

Perform metadata extraction, validation, and integrity checks

Execute media migration workflows from AWS S3 archives to cloud-based processing platforms

Validate successful media transfers and troubleshoot migration issues

Support ingestion workflows within Mimir to process assets, generate proxies, and archive content into Google Cloud Storage (GCS)

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support integration with file transfer and broadcast platforms
Required Skills & Experience:

Mandatory: Strong hands-on experience with Avid MAM/Avid MediaCentral/Avid Interplay

Proven experience in media migration projects

Experience with AWS S3 and cloud-based migration workflows

Good understanding of media metadata management

Ability to design and execute reliable and scalable migration workflows

Background in media, broadcast, or post-production environments
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience with Mimir ingestion pipelines

Exposure to Google Cloud Storage (GCS)

Experience working with broadcasters or media clients (BBC, Sky, CBS, etc.)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
