Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Developer to join our client's data engineering team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Snowflake platform internals, strong SQL expertise, and proven experience delivering data-driven solutions in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data pipelines and models.

Manage Snowflake internals - Roles, Dynamic Tables, Streams, Tasks, Policies.

Collaborate with data science and BI teams for data analysis, governance, and reporting.

Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and implement performance tuning.

Work on Dimensional & ER Data Modeling, Data Vault modelling.

Integrate Snowflake with Python, GitLab, CI/CD, and Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Work with stakeholders and product owners to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Support Data Science, Machine Learning, and Data Governance initiatives.
Must-Have Skills:

6+ years' experience in Data Engineering/Snowflake Development.

Strong SQL programming and Dimensional Data Modeling expertise.

Hands-on with Snowflake internals (Roles, Streams, Tasks, Policies, Dynamic Tables).

Strong experience with Snowflake Data Science/Snowpark Container Services.

Python Scripting experience.

GitLab (or similar version control/CI/CD tools).

Cloud data services (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Nice-to-Have:

Knowledge of Banking/Investment domain.

Power BI/Qlik Sense experience.
