Corporate Accountant CambridgePermanentHybrid Overview A technology-focused investment firm is seeking an ACA/ ACCA qualified accountant, to join a hands-on, high-impact finance team. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a central role in the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strong financial control.Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely quarterly management and statutory accounts for corporate entities.
- Lead the annual audit process, acting as the main contact for auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Manage the financial reporting calendar, ensuring all regulatory and internal deadlines are met.
- Drive the annual and rolling budget and forecast process, including scenario planning and stakeholder collaboration.
- Support the Head of Finance in enhancing budget models, reporting, and financial insight.
- Maintain robust financial controls, governance, and best accounting practices across the business.
- Oversee corporate tax filings and statutory compliance with HMRC and Companies House.
- Review and approve team outputs while driving continuous improvement in systems and processes.
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with a strong audit background, ideally making a second move within industry.
- 3 -5 years of proven experience producing high-quality management and financial accounts, with a solid understanding of tax and statutory requirements.
- Highly detail-oriented and numerate, with a strong focus on accuracy and control.
- Advanced user of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling and process improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to quickly interpret complex financial information.
- Confident business partner and communicator, able to influence stakeholders and work effectively across teams.
