Head of HR – Full Time Location: Fully Remote (UK Based)Salary: £70-80k FTE Hours: Full Time I am partnering with an award-winning global technology scale-up, who are seeking an experienced, commercially minded, and hands-on Head of HR to lead their global people agenda. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, you'll have end-to-end ownership of the HR function across multiple international legal entities, helping shape the future of a fast-growing business as it continues its global expansion journey. This is a rare opportunity to build and scale a people function in a high-growth, fully remote organisation. You'll be the senior HR leader in the business, overseeing everything from payroll and compliance to talent, culture, organisational design, employee relations, and leadership development. Perfect for an experienced HR Generalist who enjoys operating both strategically and hands-on within a fast-paced scale-up environment.What you'll do:
- Own and oversee accurate, compliant payroll operations across multiple international entities
- Ensure employment practices, policies, contracts, and procedures remain compliant across all jurisdictions
- Maintain and develop HR documentation including handbooks, contracts, and policies
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, workforce planning, and onboarding across the business
- Design and deliver onboarding programmes that enable new hires to become productive quickly
- Manage performance and competency review cycles while coaching managers on effective performance conversations
- Develop scalable career pathways, job architecture, levelling frameworks, and progression plans
- Lead compensation and benefits benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and feedback programmes across a distributed workforce
- Build and deliver learning and development programmes, including leadership and manager capability training
- Champion company culture and values while supporting regional and cultural differences
- Manage employee relations matters, grievances, performance issues, and complex people cases with sound judgement and discretion
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organisational design, people strategy, and business risk
- Build scalable HR processes and infrastructure to support future business growth and international expansion
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a broad HR Generalist or Head of HR position with ownership of the full employee lifecycle
- Strong experience operating within fast-paced, high-growth, or scale-up environments
- Working knowledge of UK employment law, payroll, compliance, and employee relations
- Experience supporting multiple international jurisdictions; US and global exposure would be highly advantageous
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance business objectives with employee experience
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on across all aspects of HR
- Strong employee relations experience with excellent judgement and discretion
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organisation
- Adaptable and resilient, thriving in environments where priorities can shift quickly
